•The history of MK Group is closely related to the history of MK Commerce, established in 1989 as one of the first private companies in Vojvodina. Since its establishment until the present day, trade in agricultural products has been the core competence of the company
•In 1995, MK Commerce founded M&V Investments brokerage, whose long-standing successful operations were crowned by the title of the best brokerage in the country by the Belgrade Stock Exchange in 2005
•In 1996, in order to strengthen logistics support to trade, MK Commerce became the owner of more than 200,000 square metres of a storage complex in Petrovaradin
•In the course of 1997, the Transport Sector was set up, and MK Commerce became the largest buyer of Volvo vehicles in the country
•In 2002, MK Commerce continued with its business growth, expanding it to the sugar industry, where it actively participated in the privatisation processes and became the owner of Sugar Factory Donji Srem from Pećinci, SF Jugozapadna Bačka from Bač, SF Bačka from Vrbas, and SF Jedinstvo from Kovačica
•Following the privatisation of sugar factories, MK Commerce started using a new name - MK Group – in its business communication, as the overall name for the already large business system
•In 2003, MK Group acquired Panonija Vršac, a company specialised in agricultural production, trade and services. In the same year, MK Group was one of the pioneers in the implementation of the SAP ERP information system
•In 2005, Sunoko, a joint venture with Nordzucker, the third largest sugar producer in Europe, was established; with the ownership of 49% in the new company, MK Group completed the sugar production and processing circle
•Further participation in the privatisation process resulted in the acquisition of the following companies: Agrounija from Inđija, Vojvodina from Novo Miloševo, Elan from Vršac, Labudnjača from Vajska, Đuro Strugar from Kula, and Selekcija from Aleksinac
•In 2006, MK Group expanded its activities to Ukraine, where Agroinvest Ukraine was set up, comprising six agricultural companies covering 25 000 ha of arable land
•In the same year, separate company MK IT Business Solutions was founded in Novi Sad, specialised in providing SAP consultancy services and delivering integrated SAP ERP business solutions to other companies. In only two years of operations, this company became the Silver Partner of SAP West Balkans and, expanding the SAP implementation to the agricultural sector, implemented the unique ZAGA module for monitoring agricultural production
•In 2007, Granexport from Pančevo, Žitobačka from Kula, and Maxiprotein from Požega became part of MK Group
•In 2008, MK Group again focused on new challenges and perspectives, and became the owner of TC Kopaonik - Konaci Sunčani Vrhovi apartment complex, Grand Hotel and Zvrk National Restaurant, by establishing another company, MK Mountain Resort, specialised in tourism and hotel business
•In 2009, MK Group withdrew from the transportation activities and closed own its Transport Sector
•In the same year, it founded Maradik Holiday Resort, including Ševrelenac Lake near Maradik, specialised in fishing tourism and fish breeding
•In 2010, MK Travel Center tourist agency with headquarters in Belgrade was established, specialised in sale of travel arrangements and airplane tickets across the world and congress tourism organisation
-In November of 2011, the company Carnex, a leading company in Serbia in the production of meat and meat products, become a part of MK Group.
