MK Group business system is one of the largest agricultural producers in Serbia, with a long-standing successful history in agribusiness. Agricultural companies within MK Group cultivate nearly 20,000 ha of land in Serbia today.
In this sector, MK Group has developed a unique know-how and business model, based on the following:
Full vertical integration of all processes and operations in agriculture enables high production efficiency and above-average yields. MK Group measures its business success in agricultural production against a level of profitability per hectare of cultivated land. The main objective is to attain strong and sustainable growth and economies of scale.
Two harvests annually at a minimum are performed at all arable land parcels of MK Group. Resulting from optimal planting structure and implementation of appropriate agro-technical measures, as well as the lowest costs per planting unit, MK Group achieves high profit per hectare. Profitable crops, specific for Vojvodina, are planted. Winter crops such as wheat, barley and rapeseed are planted in September and October, and harvested in June and July. Spring crops such as soy, sunflower, maize and sugar beet are planted in March and April.
MK Group is renowned at the local market as a producer with the highest yields of agricultural crops, and a producer of some other agricultural crops, such as sugar beet, wheat and maize, which are produced at 4,000 ha each annually.
