Sugar Factory “Jedinstvo“ from Kovačica is located in South Banat, half way between Pančevo and Zrenjanin, 45km away from Belgrade. It is strategically well connected with all important roads and railways.

The factory was established in 1976, and the first sugar beet processing campaign was executed in 1978. It was privatised by MK Group in October 2002, and the then capacity of 4,000t a day has risen to 6,500t today. As a result, the annual sugar production capacity has increased from 30,000t to 50,000t of sugar. So far, EUR10 million has been invested into the factory.
