Maradik Holiday Resort
In end-2008, Maradik Holiday Resort was established at Mt. Fruška gora, near Inđija. The resort includes 65ha Šelevrenac Lake, suitable for sports fishing and enjoying intact nature.
Šelevrenac Lake, owned by Maradik Holiday Resort, is located at the meeting point of Krušedolski Prnjavor, Krušedol village and Maradik. The company is mainly active in fishing tourism, and has been a member of MK Group since 2008, while its founder is A.D. Agrounija from Inđija. The lake is a nature reserve populated with many animal species, and is ideal for one-day trips away from the hectic city. The lake covers nearly 65 hectares, and was created from artificial accumulation of the Šelevrenac canal, after which it was named. The whole complex is surrounded by fence, isolated and provides its visitors with peace and enjoying nature. It also includes a mini restaurant with a terrace with a view on the lake, and volleyball, beach volleyball and football courts. Due to interesting land configuration, the lake banks are ideal for quad driving. With its vast offer and interesting contents, Maradik Holiday Resort is ideal for organising various activities, such teambuilding, seminars, training courses and educational camps.
Peace and intact nature of the lake results in many birds using its surroundings as their natural habitat, and many storks, white and red herons, cormorants, sparrowhawks, pigeons, crows, owls, nightingales, larks, and many other types of birds can be seen. The lake also has a mini zoo, where many, mostly domestic animals live, including sheep and lambs, dwarf goats, Vietnamese pigs, hens, roosters, geese, ducks, guinea fowls and, as of recently, mouflons, peacocks, silver pheasants, does, etc. Šelevrenac is inhabited by various sweet water fish, such as carps, catfish, pike perches, pikes, grass carp, bighead carp, redfin perches, Prussian carps, carp breams, common rudds, common barbells, etc. Depending on fishing activities, the lake is provided with new fish several times a year.
Maradik Holiday Resort provides an opportunity for sports fishing to all interested fishing lovers. Sale of fishing tickets is organised at the lake. Visitors can buy day, whole-day and night tickets, while there is also an option of group visits.
