To manage the largest tourist complex at Mt. Kopaonik, MK Mountain Resort, specialised in hotel business and mountain tourism, was established within the MK Group business system.
MK Mountain Resort comprises the Grand Hotel & SPA ****, new Family Hotel Angella ****, Konaci-Sunčani vrhovi*** suite complex and Zvrk National Restaurant. All the facilities are located in the heart of the tourist centre and the Kopaonik National Park, at 1770m above the sea-level. The hotel complex has the capacity of 1,346 beds, a half of total capacities at Mt. Kopaonik.
Following the acquisition of the tourist complex, MK Mountain Resort launched the reconstruction and modernisation of the famous Grand Hotel and the whole complex. So far, more than EUR8.5 million has been invested into the adaptation, while the total value of investments planned until end-2012 is EUR12.5 million. The Grand Hotel, which has always been a synonym of high standards, now boasts with completely new looks and elements, such as luxurious SPA & Wellness Centre covering 1800m2 and designed upon a model of the world SPA centres, indoor swimming pool with a relax zone, outdoor pool, indoor children’s playground, bawling room with 8 lanes, modern fitness centre and business centre with full technical equipment. One-third of the total capacity of 165 rooms and suites, as well as all restaurants and bars in the hotel, have been completely redesigned and adjusted to even most demanding guests.
The Angella Hotel has resulted from a merger of the Ras and Zvečan accommodation facilities, which have maintained the authentic exterior design of the Konaci-Sunčani vrhovi suite complex, even though the interior has been completely redesigned.
MK Mountain Resort is open for its guests all year round, and strives to make their stay interesting both in winter and summer season, offering hotel contents and opportunities provided by its natural surroundings for active family holiday, wellness & spa holiday, organisation of various events, teambuilding sessions, congresses and seminars, athletes’ preparations, schools in nature, school excursions.
