Even in the year marked by the coronavirus pandemic, the traditional action “Family Support” continues, within which MK Group awards financial subsidies to employees in the system who became parents during the year. More than five million dinars have been provided for 146 newborn babies in 2020 in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia, one of whose parents is employed by MK Group.
At the event at the Sheraton Hotel, where new parents from the company gathered at a video conference, Aleksandar Kostić, Vice President of MK Group, said that 620 families and more than 1,000 children in total were awarded through the “Family Support” campaign in the past four years in the amount of more than 31 million dinars. „MK Group’s strategic commitment is to nurture true values, especially family values, and that is why I am proud to end this year with support for families that have become richer for a new member, ” said Kostić, adding that it is clear to everyone that we live in a time when uncertainty has become commonplace, but what MK Group does not leave to chance is to support its employees and the community in which it operates..
Last year, MK Group was awarded the recognition of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, “Family Friend”, for this action, and this year the event was also attended by the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Čadež.
With the “Family Support” campaign and today’s event, MK Group, the first laureate of the “Family Friend” award, given by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Serbian Government, celebrates life, something that is most important for every parent, celebrates children and the future. He told parents to teach their children the way they work in this company – to be hardworking, persistent, fighters, such as the company’s founder Miodrag Kostić and Vice President Aleksandar Kostić.
Ana Micić, an employee of MK Group, also emphasized the importance of employer support. “I am glad that the action of the MK Group Company “Family Support” has become a beautiful tradition. “Now that one part of the worries and difficulties that we, who had a baby this year, faced, is over, this gesture of the employer means a lot to us,” said Micić.
